Nina Simone – In Concert: Emergency Ward! (2016 Music On Vinyl 180g Reissue)

A fierce and politically charged Nina Simone performance, Emergency Ward! captures her in concert in 1971, combining the intensity of her live work with the gospel, jazz, soul and protest music that became inseparable from her legacy. The centrepiece is an extended interpretation of George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord”, transformed completely in Simone’s hands.

2016 Music On Vinyl reissue, remastered and pressed on 180g audiophile vinyl.
